KUHELIKA | কুহেলিকা

Silk Sarees
- Dry clean only, or hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent.
- Never wring or twist. Press between dry towels to absorb moisture.
- Dry in shade — never in direct sunlight, which fades the sheen.
- Iron on low heat with a thin cotton cloth between the iron and the saree.
- Store folded in a soft muslin cloth, not plastic.
Jamdani Sarees
- Hand wash only in cold water. Do not machine wash.
- Use a gentle, colour-safe detergent.
- Avoid soaking for extended periods to preserve the weave.
- Dry flat in shade to maintain shape.
- Store loosely folded with a neem leaf or cedar block to deter insects.
Cotton Sarees
- Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water.
- Wash dark colours separately the first few times.
- Iron on medium heat while slightly damp for a crisp finish.
- Cotton is breathable and easy to care for — ideal for daily wear.
General Storage Tips
- Refold sarees along different lines every few months to prevent permanent creases.
- Air sarees out occasionally, even if unworn.
- Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight.
- Never store in sealed plastic bags — fabric needs to breathe.
Treat your saree with love, and it will last a lifetime.
